The research of our lab focuses on the intersection of the following three main topics:
- Development of new bioinformatics & machine learning based methods for the analysis bio-(medical) data, including genetics data, health data as well as image based data
- Application of computational tools to analyse data, primarily bio-(medical) data, e. g. to gain new biological insights about genotype-phenotype relationships
- Development of novel cloud- and web-based applications, to simplify the process of complex computational workflows for scientists from different disciplines
