Research

The research of our lab focuses on the intersection of the following three main topics:

  • Development of new bioinformatics & machine learning based methods for the analysis bio-(medical) data, including genetics data, health data as well as image based data
  • Application of computational tools to analyse data, primarily bio-(medical) data, e. g. to gain new biological insights about genotype-phenotype relationships
  • Development of novel cloud- and web-based applications, to simplify the process of complex computational workflows for scientists from different disciplines

General Research Overview

Funded Projects

We are doing research in several funded projects. For more information, please see the subpage for each project.

If you are interested in more details and discussions about our projects, do not hesitate to contact us.
Furthermore, we are always happy to receive applications from motivated candidates for a research internship or a thesis. You can find some opportunities here.
