PhD Defense Maura successfully defended her PhD

All good things come in threes! The next major milestone has been reached. I am very proud of my doctoral student Maura who successfully defended her dissertation. In her thesis, she addressed "Advances in Statistical and Machine Learning Methods for Genotype-Phenotype Analysis" and developed permGWAS, a novel approach that enhances the robustness of genome-wide association studies for real-world data with imperfect statistical distributions. Her methods are an important building block in medical and plant research.  Congratulations, Maura on this impressive achievement!
